Feeling Sad

I'm putting my Christmas decorations up and came across the boys wreaths from Preschool the wreaths were made from their hand prints and the berries are their fingerprints and a picture of them in the middle. I just don't know where the time went. I catch myself looking through old pictures of the boys when I'm missing them being little which lately is alot.

Family Update

Well this is what has happened since my computer got sick. As you all my life is never dull so here we go. Dave-(Paul )Dave's brother came to visit and spoiled us and Dave is turning 40 tomorrow. Becky turned 40 a couple weeks ago (Not happy). Sky-had to bag and tag her first dead person today for school ( I can't beleive she does these things without freaking out). Paige- grounded as usual. Richard- got 2nd place for his first hockey tournament #14 and then managed to have hand surgery. Kyle-wrestling for his school. Trevor turned 11 a couple weeks ago.

I finally have my laptop back

Today we finally got our laptop back from best buy they have had it for 2 months sending back to hp and back to best buy they did this a couple of times. It great to have it back I almost forgot how to type.

Having a hard time

Well people I'm having a hard time with work. I'm so tired,exhausted,brain dead,drained etc. When I punched out today at 5 ish I had 51 hours and still have to work tomorrow. I think my brain and body is shutting down. I have a massive bladder infection. I think because I went from working like 18-20 per week to 50-60 hours in one week and my body doesn't know what to do. Pray that I survive this.

This is where I will be living for the next month. GRRRRRR. I started working there in September it was suppose to be only part time(ya right). Last week I received a call asking if I could be the Manager in Bay City. At first I said no than I thought I guess I could do it seeing as it is only for one month. But I started there on Thursday and there has been nothing but DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA. I hope my mind, body and soul can stay strong during this time. Please pray that I can make it through this month. The one thing I like is that the kids appreciate me so much more and when they see me they run to me and hug me and tell me how much they miss me. When I punched out last night I had 61 hours. I hope I survive this.

Heart Specialist Results

Well we went to the doctors today and had an ultrasound and the results showed that he has a larger than normal Aortic Valve. The doctor thinks he has Marfan Syndrome (people with this syndrome are very tall and skinny Richard is 5'11" and 138 lbs and only 14). Richard will need to go see a Eye Specialist because they will be able to see something in his eyes. The Syndrome affects their muscle's and joints. Marfan syndrome is a disorder of connective tissue. Richard will hate if he has this being as he LOVES to play hockey and that is one of the sports he would not be able to play if it worsens. I'm asking for prayers for Richard and for the family to get through the test and handle the results.

Heart Specialist

Next Wednesday I have to take Richard to a Heart Specialist. He is having problems with his heart rate and when he stands up he feels like he is going to pass out he gets real dizzy. So hopefully it is nothing. I'm just asking everyone to pray that things will turn out o.k.

"Sleep Study"

I went with Richard to his sleep study Tuesday night and she asked if we need you to stay tomorrow for a day study can you stay. I told him they always ask that. I spoke to soon because the next morning they came in and asked that very question. So we ended up staying until Wednesday around 6:00 p.m. It was long boring and I had to sleep in that chair in the background no comfortable at all. I will post the results when I get them. I was able to come home and get some things and the one thing he wanted was the laptop that kept him busy all day.

Hunter Safety

Richard and Kyle took their hunters safety class and passed their test. I'm proud of them but worry about them hunting with guns. Their father has hunted for years but their my babies and I worry. I just don't want them to grow up so fast.

"The Kids First Day of School"

Paige was getting picked up by Hank and didn't really want her picture taken. Oh well I'm a picture person and they are getting used to it somewhat.

I'm back

My computer has been at the shop getting fixed. So I will have to get caught up. We are still trying to recover from the funeral. The kids and I went camping in Boyne city for a week. The boys are doing o.k. My nephew blames himself for wanting his grandpa at his open house. He hasn't left the house for awhile unless he went to the doctors. I would feel bad myself if my grandpa died on the way home from my open house. I started bowling last Wednesday with my ex-mother in-law. She is the one that just lost her husband and she is also going through treatment for skin cancer. Well all is about the same here just getting through each day one day at a time.

Prayer Request

Tonight was my nephew's graduation party and my ex-husband's dad that I am SO close to. Died on the way home from the graduation party. He had a heart attack in the car. They tried everything at the hospital but he didn't make it. My oldest Richard that is VERY close to his grandpa and named after him is very upset. We needs prayers to get through the pain and broken hearts.

Ann Arbor and back

We just returned from Ann Arbor. The doctor said that he does have hand tremors, but he takes so much medicine for his ADHD and Tourette's Syndrome that they don't want to add to it. So if it gets worse they will have to put him on something. They also want him to get a sleep study done. He talks in his sleep alot and hits the wall and jumps up to hit his pillow and so on. They also want to figure out why he gets dizzy and feels like passing out when he stands up so he thinks his blood pressure is dropping when he stands up. He also has problem's were everything goes black. So we have alot more test to go through but all is o.k. for now.

"Tremor's and I don't mean the movie"

Next week I will be taking Richard(he is my oldest) to Ann Arbor to a specialist down there because he is having hand tremor's. His hand shake all the time but when he tries to so something with his hands he shakes worse. So we are headed down there for a day of test and hopefully some answers. I'm asking for prayers that we get answers and that they can do something that will help him. He gets very irritated when he tries to so something and his hands shake.

"Yearly Checkup"

Well Richard went in for his yearly checkup. He has adhd so they have to get a physical and see how they are growing and gaining weight how they are doing in school etc. We don't have to worry about the growing thing. He is 14 years old and he is 5' 11" and weighs 140 lbs. I'm happy to see that he is finally gaining weight. Because of the medicine he has always been to skinny. All three boys have adhd and they are all tall for there age and the doctor says to skinny. Kyle is 5'7" and weighs 110 lbs and poor Trevor only weighs 58 lbs he has weighed this for about 2 years now. I'm waiting for the day he finally hits 60 lbs oh yah he starts middle school this year. I'm afraid they are going to eat him alive. My brother is 6'4" and my dad is 6'3" and my cousin is 6'6" that is where they get their height from.

"I CAN'T BELEIVE IT"

Well the boys got picked up by there father at 3:30 p.m. and then about 4:15 p.m. I received a phone call saying what do doctors do for a broken nose? So I said which one (meaning which boy) My ex said Richard. He was playing catch with his cousin and tried to hit the ball with the bat and the ball hit the bat then hit his nose. So I took him in to the hospital they checked him out and said that he has a hairline fracture in the bridge of his nose and he will be fine his nose is just going to be swelled up for awhile. My life is never dull.

We are still alive

I was gone for a few days last week I took the boys and one niece and one nephew camping in Grayling at a Yogi Bear park. I will post pictures later from them trip. Just wanted to let everyone know that we are still here and everyone is o.k.

Dave's ongoing problems

This is why I need to stop working at the church. Dave managed to go to the hospital this morning he had a wood sliver in his eyelid and that ended up scratching his eye. So they had to do alot to clean up his eye they had to dilate his eye so he was there until after 2:00 p.m. Sometimes I just don't know how much more I can take or handle.

"A Hard Sad Decision"

After long thought I have decided that I need to stop being custodian at the church. It is getting to hard to manage time with the family and time to clean the church. I'm finding it hard to find time to keep my own house clean. It makes me sad that I had to make this decision :( I'm hoping that no one gets mad but I just can't do it anymore. That's me just worrying like usual.

New POOL

This is our new pool it is 4 1/2 feet tall and 24 feet around. Dave loves swimming in it. The kids are enjoying it also. Our old pool got to small for the boys seeing as Richard is 5'11" now and Kyle is right behind him. If it every gets in the 80's and stays warm we will have to have a pool party and homemade ice cream :) with strawberries from my garden.

Dave's SAD :(

Dave sold his motorcycle today and is very sad about it. I told him it for the best seeing as he can't ride it anymore and that it would take the temptation away also. He will be find. He was sad watching it driving away.

Prayer request Update"

My mom had heart surgery this morning it started about 7:30a.m. and was over about 2:00p.m. she ended up having all four vessels replaced. She is doing good and did well throughout the surgery. I feel blessed that God has given more time with my mom. I'm hoping she feels better soon. Thank you all that are keeping my mom and our family in your prayers.

"PRAYER REQUEST"

Yesterday my mom went in the hospital with chest pains and today they told her that she will be getting open heart surgery. I' m not sure when it is scheduled yet the doctor has to come and talk to her about it. She had a cath done in March and they tried to fix it with medicine but of course that didn't work. I asked my mom if we could have just one month without any drama. So if you could all pray for her(Judy) and our family it would be greatly appreciated.

"Softball"

I'm playing softball for the church and the first game I played I hit the ball every time but could not get to first base without getting out. This week there was a BIG improvement I got to 1st base Three times and got out once. The three times I was at 1st base I actually made it all the way home. I'm very impressed with myself seeing as I haven't played since High school. This OLD body still can get around somewhat :) You'll have to come watch us play and laugh at us all. I'm playing against some of my old friends that I went to school with since 5th grade and through High school. It's weird to see people after so long people you never thought would get married or marry the people they did and have kids. There was one girl that I fought all the time in 6th grade, yes I was a fighter in school I had such a short fuse and a bad temper anyways she was at the first game and we seen each other we hugged and talked for awhile (weird) but nice. I enjoyed getting out and doing something out of the ordinary and see old friends.

Update on Life

Well it took hours and hours of talking, crying, prying him to talk and more crying but we have decided to get counseling and try to work things out we have alot to overcome with all that has changed in our life and all the new stresses. But I'm not willing to just give up on Dave and the girls. That would be the easy way out but I'm not that person. Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts. It dependently is going to be a long journey.

"I JUST DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO"

My world has been turned upside down. Dave and I are getting a divorce. I will moving out as soon as I can find a place to move to. Wednesday Dave was in one of his moods. One thing lead to another and Dave ended up Hitting me and then Richard my oldest had him on the ground. I'm willing to go to counseling if he would just admit to me that he hit me. He says that he didn't, so I feel that if he can't admit to it then there is no sense in going to counseling. It all started over something so stupid and he just won't give in. The girls won't even talk to me and talk about me when I'm not here (which I stay away as much as possible). I'm going around in a daze and the tension in the house is so thick you can cut it with a knife. I would ask everyone to pray but I don't know if that would even work at this point.

"Dave Update #3"

He came home tonight and is feeling o.k. He still isn't eating much. The visiting nurse will come tomorrow and change the packing in his wound and repack it because I know I would not want to do that myself (gross). Hopefully we will stay out of the hospital for awhile. Thanks for all of your prayers and thoughts.

"Dave Update #2"

Well we started solid foods late yesterday and that didn't go to well he is know back on Liquids. When he eats solids he ends up throwing up and ended up opening up his incision so they had to glue it back together where it opened. He still is sleepy and not feeling well :(

"DAVE UPDATE"

Well I went to see Dave today and he is still on a liquid diet. I think they are going to try him on solids tomorrow. He is very sore and has ALOT of bruising where they cut him for surgery is about 4 or 5 inches long and they glued it together. They don't move him around much and he sleeps alot. The doctor came in today and told him he was very lucky. He needs to except his limitations and that he can't do what he use to. He has agreed that he needs to sell his motorcycle. I myself didn't sleep for a day in a half and when I finally did last night about 7p.m. I put a movie in and only remember about 15 minutes of it and then woke up at 9:30 p.m. and thought it was morning. We have gone through alot this past year and a half and so glad that we have our family, friends and God in our lives to help us through the hard stuff. I'll try to keep you all posted on what is going on and I know when he comes home he wont be doing anything for awhile to get himself in any trouble he will be way to soar.

"Hearing Aids"

Well Dave received his hearing aids yesterday. The day was full of new sounds and adjustments so all the new sounds won't come through too loud. Getting used to answering the phone without the hearing aids buzzing in his ears. (you can't put your ear to close to the phone) It will be nice not to hear what did you say or what or I can't hear you. I guess he can still turn them off when he doesn't want to hear me :)

"What the kids have been up to"

Sky and Kyle both had their b-day's on April 27th Sky turned 17 and Kyle turned 13. Richard went hunting for the first time ever with his dad the other weekend and shot his first turkey his dad was very proud of him and so was I. It was scary for me to think of him with a gun.

"What A Smelly Mess"

Dave decided to boil some eggs last night mean while he fell asleep and the stove was on all night until 3 a.m. when my niece came up to go to the bathroom she noticed the stove was on and she said the house was full of smoke. Dave didn't come to bed until 5 a.m. and told me what he did, so I told him no more cooking at night or he will burn our house down. (I don't even know what time he started the eggs).

"Gotta Love Spring"

Well I've been Sick most of this month with lovely sinus problems. Every spring I'm miserable for a least the first month. Today I have the boys home with the same problems. I love spring because that means warmer weather and no snow, but that also means Becky will be sick. I also have some weird thing going on with me leg (sharp burning pains going down into my foot only in the right leg). It hurts so bad that I have to drive with my other leg or pull over when it happens . But I don't have any insurance now so I have to suffer through it and hope it goes away.

"Hearing"

Dave went to the ear doctors today to find out if he needed hearing aids or not. The results were that he only uses 2% of one ear and 6% of the other ear. He has to get hearing aids and wear them for a couple of months to see if his ears aprove, if they don't he might need surgery. Then he has to do another test to find out if his hearing loss is from his MS or something else. The doctor doesn't want him to drive right now and if he does he can't listen to the radio while driving until he get his hearing aids. Could anything else happen to the poor guy?

Richard had his first game on Thursday and his assisted with the first goal of the game. He has been playing a couple of years now and loves it. He looks like a professional out there. I'm so proud of him and love watching him play. This year he is playing Baseball and Ice Hockey.

"DAVE UPDATE"

Dave went to a hand surgeon and the result is that he has to wait till his hand almost heals than they will re brake it and put a plate in it and screws. It has to heal because the bone is to soft right now and if they tried to put a screw in it, it would just shadier the bone. So hopefully it heals soon. God willing.

Kyle's Kidney Update

Well we went to the specialist and received the results from all the resent test he had received. The doctor said that he needs to drink from morning till night because he his not producing enough urine. So his chance of getting a kidney stone is much higher. His protein is still high and that is a totally separate issue that they need to keep their eye on that. In the next 6 months he will need to have a cat scan done and a kidney stone test and another 24 hour urine test to check how much urine he is producing and how high his protein level is.

This is a old picture of Richard, kyle and Trevor. I've been really missing them as little sweet boys. They are just growing way to fast. I'll be that mom standing in the doorway crying when they move out. :(

"I'M A GRANDMA AGAIN"

Well Kyle's (hampster had babies again) scared you didn't I (HAHA). Before we went to Florida his hampster had two babies both girls Kyle kept one and gave one to my nephew. Well this time she decided to have FIVE babies. So in about a month they will be ready to leave their mommy. They are golden hampster, so if anyone is interested please let me know. She (the mommy hampster) reminds my of Kara (LOL).

THREE TIMES A CHARM

Well Dave did it again he fell and broke his hand (yes the same hand) for the third time this month. He has to wait until the swelling goes down to dicided what to do with it. That is if he can manage not to break it again in the meantime. He tries to do things he shouldn't be doing. He hates the fact that he can't do the things he use to be able to do.

Prayer Request

My three boys need alot of prayers and support. Their step mom walked out on their father last Thursday with no worning, no good bye no nothing. Richard the 14 year old blames himself. Kyle the 12 year old is real mad and quite (and fears that I will leave). Trevor the 10 year old just doesn't understand. We went to the kids conferences on Wednesday night and I didn't see anything wrong and she act like there wasn't anything wrong. Even though I'm not with their father I hate to see him and the children hurt.

Family Update

Well today it finally happened. Dave has been sick all day and I woke up with a sore throut and my ear hurts. I also had to take Kyle the middle boy to get blood work done for on going kidney issues. He is so darn cute and loveable he is almost 13 years old and at the lab in front of everyone he will sit on my lap and kiss me and be all loveable. It's neat that at this age he will even let me play around with him and show him attention in front of people. I love that and hope he never changes.

This is Dave after his doctors appt. today. He went to get x-rays and ended up being sent to the hospital where they reset his bones in his hand. He is in alot of pain and sleeping.

I CAN'T LEAVE DAVE ALONE

Well I went to the church to clean and I received a phone call from Dave. He asked me if I was home and I said no of course. Then he told me that he wasn't home either (I'm at the hospital was his response). Now what was my response. Well he tripped on something and fell again and broke the same hand that he already broke last week but this time he broke it even worse. My life is never borring that is for sure.

Friday February 22nd

Today the kids are getting ready to go to the church for their 30 hour Famine. They need your prays to make it through the 30 hours of not eating. Sky is already feeling shakie and weak. I told her to just think about the kids that don't get to eat all the time. Last night was a long one we went to the Armstrongs for dinner. We love visiting with them and we praise God for such good friends. Dave's hand is still swelled up it will be a little while before he can get a cast or anything else done with it. It will be a nice peaceful night the girls will be at the church and the boys are at their dads. I won't know what to do LOL.
